This summer, Olivia is excited to return to the role of Josephine in HMS Pinafore with two exciting productions. She returns to Las Vegas Opera for one weekend of performances June 6–8, before making her much-anticipated debut with Pacific Opera Project, where performances will run June 13–22.

This year, Olivia finished her first year as Director of Opera and Assistant Professor of Voice at Stetson University. There she directed Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro and Handel’s Acis and Galatea. She looks forward to the 2025/2026 school year!

Praised for singing with “gorgeous vulnerability” (The Richmond Times), Olivia Yokers is well regarded for her thrilling voice and versatility onstage. She has performed repertoire ranging from Mozart to Rodgers & Hammerstein to Philip Glass.

Company engagements include Opera Las Vegas, Pacific Opera Project, Dayton Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Utah Festival Opera, Painted Sky Opera, Virginia Opera, and Charlottesville Opera. Notable roles include Musetta in La Bohème, Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Miss Honey in Matilda.

As an advocate for new music, Ms. Yokers has performed in the premieres of works such as Emily Clements’ Letters to Lily and the professional debut of Paul Fowler’s Behold the Man with Opera Las Vegas. In 2024, she was featured on composer Jennifer Bellor’s album Long These Days, performing the song cycle A Smile and a Sigh. The album is now streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major platforms.

She has also appeared as a soloist in concert and oratorio performances including Haydn’s Creation, Mozart’s Vesperae solennes de confessore, John Rutter’s Mass of the Children, Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem, and Handel’s Messiah.

Ms. Yokers’ awards include the title of Cincinnati Opera Idol, first prize in both the Dayton Opera Guild Competition and the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale Collegiate Competition, and first place in the Hamilton-Fairfield Symphony Guild Voice Competition.

She currently serves as Director of Opera and Assistant Professor of Voice at Stetson University. When she’s not performing, teaching, or directing, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, her dog, and her husband, Andre.
